Tending the Mother Tree

Green leaves and small pink flowers of cyclamen are cradled in the roots of Oak trees, surrounded by many yellow, brown, and orange leaves

Tending the Mother Tree is a day for rest and restoration, for nurturing self and community

For those that stand strong and sturdy, caring for their families and communities:

Nourish and resource yourself for the season to come

What to Expect

Those that share their care, protection, and wisdom with the world around them.

Mother Trees (the human kind), can be any gender at all (or none)
and may or may not parent human children.

❋ Calling all Mother Trees

We’ll weave mycelial connections as we share our stories and needs, and witness others in theirs.

❋ Mutual care

This is a day to rest, connect with yourself, and the bits of nature we invite in.

We will cultivate slow spaciousness throughout the day (capitalist productivity culture can keep its own sad council, outside our space!).

❋ Slow, community time

Each participant will receive a small, handmade journal.

To join, you are invited to pay what you can, offer a trade, or simply share your presence. More about the Gift Economy here, and here.

❋ A Gift Economy offering

Join us Saturday, November 7th from 10am to 3pm at Flanders House in NE Portland

Rest, tend, and be tended

“You are worth the quiet moment. You are worth the deeper breath. You are worth the time it takes to slow down, be still, and rest.”
