Tending the Mother Tree

Tending the Mother Tree is a day for rest and restoration, nurturing self and community (human and More-Than-Human).

For those that stand strong and sturdy, caring for their families and communities: This is an invitation to come be tended, rest, and be nourished.

Offer your care to the land, and to yourself.

What to Expect

Those that share their care, protection, and wisdom with the world around them.

Mother Trees (the human kind), can be any gender at all (or none)
and may or may not parent human children.

❋ Calling all Mother Trees

We’ll spend time with a land that has experienced exploitation and neglect, and now is tended with intention and love. We will bring our respectful presence to this land and community, and experience the mutuality of care.

❋ Mutual care

This is a day to rest, connect with yourself; lovely fellow humans; and with the More-Than-Human ones. We will cultivate slow spaciousness.

❋ Slow time with the land

You are invited to pay what you can, offer a trade, or simply share your presence. More about the Gift Economy here, and here.

Learning from and tending beloved Mother Trees

“You are worth the quiet moment. You are worth the deeper breath. You are worth the time it takes to slow down, be still, and rest.”
